Privacy Policy

Studio Erris (“we”, “us”) is an independent design and making studio in Ireland, and runs this website, studioerris.com. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

The personal information we collect is what you choose to give us:

• Email address: if you sign up on the Mini Display page to hear about future products.
• Order details: if you buy something, our payment provider Stripe shares the details we need to send your order, such as your name, email and delivery address. We never see or store your card details.
• Emails you send us: if you write to hello@studioerris.com, we have your email address and whatever you tell us.

If you agree to it, we also use Google Analytics, described below.

How we use it

We use your email address only to send the product news you signed up for, and order details only to deliver your order and deal with any questions or returns. We don't sell or share your information with anyone for their own marketing.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site, so we can improve it. It measures things like which pages are visited and for how long, which site or link brought you here, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (country or city). It doesn't tell us who you are, and we don't use it for advertising.

Google Analytics only runs if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, the analytics script isn't loaded, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_PZZL8L5HM8, which last up to two years. Google processes this data for us and may process it outside the EU. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage, so the banner doesn't appear on every page.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time: change your cookie settings, or use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page. If you decline, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed from your browser.

Other services this site uses

This site is hosted on Netlify, which also receives and stores sign-up form submissions. You can read Netlify's privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.

Fonts load from Google Fonts, and some animation code loads from public code libraries (cdnjs and unpkg). To fetch these files, your browser sends those services your IP address. They don't set cookies.

The “Buy now” button takes you to Stripe to pay. Stripe has its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@studioerris.com. Every product email includes a way to unsubscribe. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can contact the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
